The Energy Between Us
Every business wants a great culture. The problem is, culture isn’t something you can announce at a team meeting or write into a set of values. It’s built in the small moments. The way we celebrate a win. The conversations between meetings. Whether someone feels recognised. Whether the environment gives people energy or quietly takes it away.

Reho Travel April 2026 Newsletter
As we move further into the year, it’s been a period of both momentum and reflection across Reho. In this edition, we’re proud to share how Reho Study Tours is redefining the way we learn through travel, with the official launch of our new initiative in partnership with Everclime. This marks an important step in embedding sustainability into every journey, ensuring our programs create meaningful impact beyond the experience itself.

Inside Fukushima: A New Perspective
I recently had the opportunity to visit Fukushima as part of a small, hand-picked delegation of Australian travel professionals. It was an incredibly valuable experience, especially as we’re seeing growing interest from our university partners in programs that go beyond the typical destinations in Japan.

Reho Study Tours Launches New Impact Initiative

BCorp Month – More than a certification
March is BCorp Month and for us at Reho, it is not a campaign. It is a commitment.
Over a decade ago, we became one of Australia’s foundation B Corps. At the time, many questioned why a travel company would choose the harder path.
Because we believe business should be a force for good. That profit is fuel, not the destination. That governance should protect purpose. That impact must be measured, not marketed.

UK passport changes amid last-minute twist
New UK passport rules taking effect tomorrow (UK time) could disrupt travel for British dual citizens, but Reho Travel CEO Karsten Horne says agents should stay calm and act early.
Dual citizens – many of whom live in Australia – may face disruption when re-entering the UK under changes requiring them to travel on a valid UK passport or a foreign passport accompanied by a certificate of entitlement confirming right of abode. Both options involve significant time and cost, with many travellers only becoming aware of the requirement earlier this year.

The Algorithm of Christmas 2033
For more than 20 years, our Christmas tradition has been a simple one. A personal message of thanks. What began with hand drawn Christmas cards sent from Malawi has evolved over time into something a little more creative. In recent years that tradition has become a music video, this years production may say as much about my innate curiosity as it does my judgement. The video tells a light hearted story about the future of travel. It follows an AI who believes optimisation is everything, until it starts to learn what data alone cannot deliver, empathy, connection and care. Along the way, they touch on sustainability, overtourism and the responsibility we all share to travel more thoughtfully.

Seeing Aotearoa Through a Learning Lens
Recently, I had the opportunity to join an industry famil to New Zealand (Aotearoa), supported by Air New Zealand and the New Zealand Travel Bureau. Over six days, our 10-person group, representing travel agencies from across different cities, explored Auckland, Northland, and the Upper North, experiencing the region not just as visitors, but through an educational and sustainability-focused lens.

Reho Travel Wins Sustainability Award
We’re delighted to share that Reho Travel has been awarded the Sustainability Award – ATIA Accredited Agency at the 2025 National Travel Industry Awards (NTIA), held at The Star in Brisbane on October 18. It is our third time receiving this award, and while we’re incredibly proud, we see it less as a victory and more as encouragement to keep doing better for our clients, our people, and the planet.

Reho Travel August 2025 Newsletter

Booking Airfares in a Changing World: Why Reliability Still Matters
If you’ve booked a flight through Reho, whether for business or for a well-earned holiday, you’ve likely benefited from decades-old technology working quietly behind the scenes. While it may not grab headlines, this system has long ensured fast, smooth, and accurate bookings. But as airlines push for newer solutions, like NDC, the landscape is starting to shift.
