Reho wins Sustainability Award

 

Melbourne based Travel Management Company; Reho Travel has won the inaugural Sustainability Award – Agency at the NTIA Travel Industry Awards. Over 1200 of the industries best attended the prestigious awards held at the International Convention and Exhibition Centre in Sydney on Saturday 15th October 2022.

Asked why he felt Reho Travel deserved the win, CEO Karsten Horne stated, “I feel we won the sustainability award as Reho Travel has genuinely lived and breathed our ethical values for many years and the judges have been around long enough to witness our journey.”

Founded in 1979, Reho Travel is the worlds only BCorp certified travel management company. Despite the massive impact Covid made to the business in the last two years, with revenues running at 10%, Reho Travel continued to push out positive messaging. Producing a range of inspiring videos with a sustainable focus about the travel industry.

Karsten thanked AFTA for introducing the sustainability category and for introducing a new more creative submission format. In an emotional interview he went on to thank his team. “I’d like thank my amazing, hardworking, resilient team for believing in and living our purpose for many years before it became fashionable, and I’d also like to thank my daughter Sheridan and her partner Nick for taking the time out to produce a quality video submission whilst we were all on holiday”

Managing Director – Reho Study Tours, Bianca Giles acknowledged that this award is the first step. “We see it as our role to educate our clients and the industry as to how they can make a more positive impact”
